Chase Community Giving / IMAlive
|

Thanks to your support, in January TWLOHA finished third out of more than 500-thousand charities in Chase Community Giving. Earlier this month, representatives from Chase Bank came to the TWLOHA office in Cocoa, FL and presented us with a check for $100,000. Additionally, in December and January our SocialVibe.com
supporters reached their online goals each month raising a total of $15,000. SocialVibe donated an additional $35,000, bringing in a total of $50,000. We’re proud to say that all of this money - $150,000 in total - will go toward the launch of IMAlive, the first live online crisis network with 100% of its staff certified and trained in crisis intervention.
Currently, we have 120 volunteers finishing the beta testing of the online crisis intervention training developed by the QPR Institute. We are working hard to launch IMAlive in 2010, but we need your help to make that possible. Find out more at www.IMAlive.org.

For the second year in a row, we had the privilege of being part of the Soundwave Festival across Australia. Last month, Chris Youngblood and Jason Blades from our team represented TWLOHA in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Australia has become one of our favorite places. We are grateful not only for the support of so many people there but also for the generosity of the Soundwave team. Check out the blogs from Chris
and from Jason to hear more about the trip.
This was also our second year in a row at SXSW in Austin, Texas. We were invited to be part of the Paste Magazine showcase which gave our team the opportunity to introduce TWLOHA and IMAlive to hundreds of people last week. Beyond that, the huge TWLOHA banner was once again visible above Sixth Street and our volunteers gave out over 2,000 bottles of water to folks on Sixth. The water was meant to meet a basic need and the bottle
was meant to introduce them to IMAlive and the tremendous need for an online crisis network.
